You might think you have a handle on it, but a disorganized workspace can be a reflection of your mental state and a sign you’re rushing along and not taking the space to clear your mind and clean off your desk.

So, symbolically take some time to giving a loving look over the space where you spend so much of your time and the desk that has supported so many of your great ideas. Below are 5 ways to tidy up your desk for #CleanOffYourDeskDay

  1. Start with sorting

Examine your desk and establish what kind of groupings you can make with what your collection of stuff. Group like with like, loose papers go together, pens and paperclips in their own piles and of course a miscellaneous pile too. Sort through each group and recycle or throw away anything that you don’t absolutely need. This process gets tough as your attention starts to wander to something less menial after twenty minutes. Learn to enjoy the process! To cut through brain fog and find focus, inhale Mental Essentials Lemon Essential Oil.

  1. Don’t stack that kind of paper

If you’re going to have a thick stack of papers on your desk, please let it be currency. Loose leaf papers are the enemy of a tidy desk, so sift through those suckers and see what you can file, and what you can access digitally.
